We’re heading to Playa del Carmen for our honeymoon and don’t know the best way to pay for things, including our all-inclusive resort. Put it all on a credit card? Bring U.S. cash? Bring traveler’s checks? Not sure how many places down there accept each type of money. Advice, please!

I am thinking of getting my two wedding bands soldered onto my engagement ring, but was wondering if it’s possible to get my rings resized once they are soldered together? Right now the rings fit perfectly, but I want to have the option of having them resized later on down the road if the rings become too small.

His aunt and uncle and cousins

and my niece and nephew are bringing up the gifts (Catholic wedding)
my mom and his dad are the witnesses

My wedding will be late august early September. The wedding colors will be burgundy and white. We need to know this year so that we can plant them and they will be ready next year. I dont know what i want im not sure what will look good with the colors. The Brides maids will carry a single white rose and im not sure what i wll be carrying. … Please help!!

I found a beautiful one by Miranda Wong that I love, but I’m trying to avoid paying for the music because of my limited budget. How would you word the following into a wedding invitation?

We are getting married overseas (where our family stays) and we have decided to Christen our son after the wedding ceremony. How would you word this on the wedding invitation?

Also because our home is fully established and we live overseas how could you politely ask people not to give gifts but if they would like they could give us money instead? I don’t expect money but its will be really hard to take gifts on a plane!

I want to have a hilarious first dance. I have watched some on Youtube and they are awesome. I just need some song ideas b/c I didn’t really like any that they had. I am not familiar with Mexican culture. Are padrinos like godparents? Do brides- and grooms-to-be normally ask padrinos to get wedding rings for them, or are they supposed to buy the rings themselves?

What is the role of padrinos? Is it to buy something for the couple? To advise them? To give them money?

My two younger brothers (10 and 14) are in my September wedding. My fiance and I don’t want to give them some silly trinket that they won’t use, and arn’t at the age for. I know that they really want an XBOX 360 though, would that be appropriate?

For my flower girl, I wanted to get her jewelry, (pearl earings and pearl bracelet) but also wanted to put together a girly lil basket thing with toys that she would like, is that ok?

For my maid of honour and bridesmaids, I’m stuck. I wanted to get their jewelry, but I would also like to get them something else. I’ve already given them engraved things with their names for birthdays etc, so that’s not gonna work.

Also, my aunt is making my flower girl dress, it’s absolutely gorgeous btw, … I’d like to get her something special, jewelry is out of the question though, she’s got tons, more expensive than I could ever buy her anyways. Just something sweet, something to say thank you. Any ideas would be terrific.

I am having a small outdoor pavilion wedding. The wedding party has 2 groomsmen, one MOH and a flower girl. Music will be played on an acoustic guitar. I am having trouble figuring out how the timing works. Obviously its not going to take a whole song (3ish minutes) to have the wedding party walk down the aisle, how do i cut a song short. Same as when I (bride) walk down the aisle. What do people do? let the song play out or just find a way for it to mellow out?

My wedding is September 12, 2009. I have my invitations all filled out and ready to go. I am going out of town on the 22nd, and I don’t want to worry about them while I’m gone. (Its my weekend of peace and relaxation. Haha.) I was wondering if its to soon to send them out now…?

I’m ordering an expensive wedding band to wear on my expanding fingers during pregnancy. It comes with a free 25 character engraving. Ideas on what to put inside? This is something I’m sure I’ll keep and maybe pass on to my daughter one day.

It is beginner hip-hop and jazz (combination) I’m 17 and have never taken a dance class in my life lol. The paper from the studio said to wear "form-fitting dance wear" What is THAT? Are sweats ok? (that’s not really form-fitting lol) I have these red tight pants (almost spandex) that are easy to move in and I was thinking about wearing these short black running shorts over them (because wouldn’t it be weird to wear just spandex for pants?

I have just got engaged and I have my heart set on a beautiful Pronovias wedding dress that I came across when helping my friend organise her wedding. I am planning a honeymoon. Which resort is a better choice for an all inclusive stay?

I’m curious to know what past brides have given and/or what future brides are planning on giving their bridal party as ‘thank you’ gifts for being a part of the day.

We’re having just one attendant on each side and planning on giving each of them a bag or basket full of different fun things. For our bridesmaid we were thinking things like a piece of jewelry to wear at the wedding, gift certificate to her favorite girlie store, personalized makeup bag, etc. For our groomsman maybe something like an engraved flask, gift certificate to favorite restaurant, etc.

Any other suggestions as to what to put in their bags?
