i hear that as long as you got mad skills they dont care is this true i am 16 and i do stage makeup for my school, and i have also been hired my some of my family to do bridal makeup. i always use proper sanitation, and i use MAC brushes as well as billy b brushes. i have been into makeup since 6th grade thats when i bought my first MAC brush. since then i just practice on myself. i really dont want to complete highschool cant i just go to a makeup artistry school??

Me and my fiance are getting married in two years. We are having a firefighter/ems wedding. Ever since we started dating the Love Dare Book had been a part of our relationship. For our guests we wanted give them a copy of the Love Dare but for 50 guests it will cost over 0 dollars and we plan to have more guests than that. So we are looking for suggestions for cheaper alternatives.
Well its more of favors and this is what I would like to do.

I got a brochure from this makeup artist agency. They claim to be a huge nationwide bridal makeup agency. I’ve never heard of them, but it sounds pretty good. They come to wherever you are getting ready for your wedding, and do your hair and makeup there.

Has anyone used them? Does anyone have some unbiased reviews? Has anyone even heard of them?

Anything that might be helpful would be appreciated!
Oh. Um, they do say they do hair. And I would need makeup and hair for me right before my wedding. I dont think the MAC counter does that. Or do they?

Also…I have a few more questions

Who typically hands out the wedding programs (or are those usually in a basket)?

Where does the guest book go? (reception or ceremony?)

How does the wedding bubbles work? (Aren’t they thrown when we leave for the reception, and if so, how does this work b/c this would be after pictures would be taken?)

I’m getting married in 30 days (June 30) and wanted to do something different than just a guest book. I am having a photo matt for guests to sign and I also thought about getting a plate that they could also sign. So my question is this: Has anyone done one of these and how well did it work out? Thanks for all the help.

I need at least 100 total, and they need to be large enough for people to sign their names on with a paint pen (instead of using a guest book). We also want them to match the colors of the wedding (blue and pink shades).

My fiance and I have semi large familes. We already have our attendents and everything else picked out. We have a lot of little girls that we can’t fit in the wedding. I’m trying to figure out what tasks there are to include them in the wedding. Like signing the guest book and that sort of thing. If you have any ideas please let me know.

I’d like it to be items that wont smudge makeup that can easily be put in your mouth. I thought of carrot and celery sticks. But I need to provide a lunch item as well.

Its a small wedding and we are only serving horsdeovuers & wine, so as to not run thru all the finger food while they wait for us what can we do to keep them occupied? There is the guest book of course and then Ive heard of a ‘wish tree’ (you set up a fake little tree & guests ‘decorate’ it by writing wishes for you on slips of paper & hanging it on the tree) but what else? And Im talking passive entertainment like I mentioned…not games or anything like that.

I purchased my guest book from Hallmark, but it didn’t come with a pen. I want one that matches this book (its the second one):

The book has that quilted/pillow type of pattern on it with a little silver insert that says guestbook. I’d love for my pen’s base to have that same pattern, but i cannot find one. I’ve only found ugly tulle, rose, etc. bases.

I’m having a signature plate in place as a guest book at my wedding. Are they specially made plates or can I get just any plate I see fit? I’m planning on at least buying a special marker or two but I was hoping to save some money on the actual plate (cheapest Ive seen is 20 dollars at wal-mart). If it matters, I’m only planning on having 70 attendants or so. Any advice?

Hey all, we are getting married in August and are doing a more unique guest sign-in book at the ceremony. We are having our engagement photos made into a book. Opposite the photos we are leaving the page blank with room for marriage advice.

The problem is, I am having a hard time coming up with questions or phrases for the page titles. For example, We would have a photo on one page and on the opposite page we’d have a blank page with the title "Love is…." Then, guest could give us their advice. We would need about 10-15 phrases or questions.

I am getting married and I really want all our guests to sign the guest book. When my friend got married, I think only two people signed her book (this is partly because she forgot to designate someone to be the guest book attendant)! I’ve told my attendants to let guests know how important it is to me. However, having been an attendant at my fiance’s cousins wedding recently, I know some guests flat out refuse. If anyone has any tips or ideas for persuading guests to sign or to make it "fun" to sign the guest book, I would really like to hear them. As always thanks to everyone!
I have designated my two step-sisters to attend the book and hand out programs.
