Wedding Cake decorating

I would like to incorporate in our wedding my Fiance’s Army background. I would just like to put a few decorations on the cake and in the hall. He was a Scout in the army.

I am having a April wedding next year, and my fiance and I are paying for everything ourselves. I am looking for an inexpensive but pretty flower to use for all the flower things. I want to use white roses but I know they are expensive. I need ideas!

The theme of my wedding is light blue and white, but I’m having trouble finding natural light blue flowers. I would rather not dye flowers for that could get expensive. So can you help?

i got married saturday .. still have some flowers that look fine..but i want to preserve them..ive thought of pressing them but it makes them flat and im not sure how that would work… i have a bouquet of lilies some of them are already turning brown.. so time is of the essence any help would be appreciated thank you.

I want to incorporate camo into our wedding but just a touch. My dress is white trimmed in camo as well as the flower girls. Now I need to find Decorations for the wedding. I do not want them to be completely camo though, Maybe a solid color trimmed in camo or colors that would go with the camo.

The cake is also going to be Ivory with a camo trim at the bottom of each tier and my bridesmaid dress or like a hunter green with a trace of camo.

I’m having my wedding in May. Our colors are green, black, brown and white. It will be an elegant rustic wedding. What flowers would look good with sunflowers (and no I’m not changing the sunflowers to gerber daisies). I thought about wild flowers but I’m not sure if I want a bright bouquet.

I used to work at a craft store many years ago, and before it went out of business they had a HUGE sale from 50 – 90% off…i knew eventually one day i would get married…and now im engaged!!!
I have everything from my own invitation making kits and all my table and aisle decorations, and arch supplies…pretty much everything i need to decorate my table and wedding…. (except flowers of course)
Now can i find someone to decorate the tables for me? that would use my decorations? i know alot of places ive been looking at for wedding planners say they use their own decorations (stupid i think) …where would i find someone? i have no artsy or talented (decorating wise) people in my family that i know of or would trust to set up the tables while im getting ready…..what to do..?

I am doing the wedding flowers for my Minister’s wedding in November. I have been looking for good reliable sources of fresh flowers that I can order. Does anyone know where I can order good quality fresh flowers…at preferably wholesale prices that I don’t have to purchase a minimum amount of each kind of flower. It’s a really small wedding. Ok so I am gonna post a few different separate questions so that they all get answers hopefully! So if you know lots about wedding please look for my other ones that I will post right after this one. So first thing is I am trying to find a list of ceremony and reception decorations that I need. I have no clue what all I need! I think the constant planning is draining my brain! So either can someone give me a website that has detailed lists of things you need or can you just list everything you can think of please! Thanks guys!
The ceremony and reception will be held in a two story hall. We have choosen to do our own separate catering so all that is provided is chairs and tables. No linens or decorations aside from the pretty lighting they do. The wedding is in May or june and the colors are jade and pink (don’t worry it actually looks really pretty together) I love the look of candles and think they will make a romantic setting with the evening timing.

I am trying to plan a beach wedding in Miami florida. I have been talking to different companies. But what i need to know is are you able to bring own decorations such as chairs, arches, tikis and fake flowers? I talked to this one lady and she said you can bring your own chairs and some of your own decor. But what i want to know is if i just hire an officiant and bring my own stuff do i need a permit? It says on some webpages if you are having you wedding in a state park you do. I just don’t want to be setting all this stuff up and then a cop saying wwe can’t have it.

Sorry this is so long, but planning a wedding and reception is stressing and I am willing to hear any ideas!!

My fiancee and I are on a very tight budget so we are holding our wedding and reception at a community center which include round tables, chairs and a bar area. However, because it IS a community center and all we have for the cermony is the unity candles and a candle for my grandfather, I am afraid it will look a bit, well, blah. We have wonderful idea’s for the reception. Our theme is black and white, so if anyone knows any decorations for that theme for the cermony, or where the "alter" would be, please feel free to suggest anything!

OH! And also, any "aisle" ideas ( we really don’t want a aisle runner) would help as well=]

the poem talks about the wedding ceremony and uses flowers in it- the bachelor button marrys (can’t remember what flower the bride is), jack in the pullpit, johnny jump ups, etc. its a really cute and funny poem with names of flowers for the whole ceremony
my aunt had this poem, (do not know if it came from a magazine, newspaper, etc) so do not know who wrote it, she had it for many years so it is quite old

Is it wise to use orchids as wedding flowers? I like orchids but i’m concerned with the costs involved if i decide to use orchids as my wedding flower.

My theme is Chocolate, my colors so far are a dark espresso brown, Ivory, and Tan. Like the colors of chocolate. I’m having a hard time finding flowers to go with my theme. I was hoping to find a dark brown accent flower, with maybe some ivory calililys, or even hydrangia. Since I’m having such a hard time, I’ve been thiking of adding a little bit of color to the whole scheme, but that would totally defeat the whole chocolate idea, unless I did like a minty green or a sage. I’m completely stuck. Any ideas?

Aisle, pew, arch or no arch, columns, etc.,

I saw a wedding where there wasn’t any flower arrangements at the church aisle, just a red carpet, and the church was beautiful itself. It was plain and simple yet elegant. I’m thinking that for my wedding since the church itself is pretty and also I am in a tight budget.
