Should I be able to wear a different pair of shoes for the wedding reception?

Author: So I’m standing up in my cousin’s wedding. The dresses are boring and so are the shoes. Just plain and basic black everything. And that’s fine, it’s her wedding she can do what she wants. So my question is: Do you think I should be able to change into a different pair of shoes for the reception? Or is that too tacky? I just want to be able to wear something that is more of my own personal style.
