Should I wear two dresses at my wedding?
I’m getting married on Halloween of next year. I want to wear my white dress to the church but I also want to go more with my wedding theme, elegant goth. Should I purchase a white wedding gown for church and then just goth it up for the reception? Or should I buy two dresses? (white wedding dress and gothic dress)
i say buy one dress. then goth it up with black jewelry and other accessories. this way you are still the bride, one dress is cheaper then two and you won’t blend in with the other girls who will be wearing gothic dresses

Personally, I never understood the whole "two dresses" craze. I always thought you were suppose to shop for a wedding dress and find the perfect one. then wear it all day on your wedding and regret having to take it off at the end of the night. In addition, considering the cost of a wedding dress can easily run close to, if not over, a $1,000; I’d better be wearing that dress for a good 8-10 hours.
I think it takes the fun out of being a bride and having the special bridal moment, when you change from your white wedding dress, to a goth dress. Every year, you’ll get to be "goth" on Halloween. But, for only one day in your lifetime, will you ever get to be a bride.
I would buy two.
I think you should buy two dresses. Some woman wear two dresses anyway. A long one to the church and something more shorter and comfortable to the reception.
How about a white gown with black trim. Then you can have the best of both worlds. When you select you dress keep your personal style in mind. If the perfect dress doesn’t have black trim, a good dressmaker will be able to customize it for you when she does the alterations.
just one.. its cheaper and saves bunches of money!! just goth it up with a lot of black stuff!
congrats
Sounds like two dresses would be the way to go!
if you can afford two then buy two! but make sure you get proper wedding photos in your wedding dress whether it’s traditional or goth.
i decided against purchasing a second dress… however… the bustle broke on my dress during the reception and i and my wonderful girlfriends were strapped to safety pins ( to keep my dress up ) for the next 2 hours… so, sick of it… i changed into a favorite dress i already owned…
