Women only, what percentage of brides to be cheat at their bachelorette parties?

Look, I would like a serious answer, marriage is a serious thing. I don’t want to marry someone who is all about cheating and being selfish. That’s my worst fear, b/c I am a really faithful guy. This question has been asked before here and everyone gives the same vague answer. I would very much appreciate it if someone could tell me what percentage of brides to be cheat w/ other men, even the stripper, at bachelorette parties? I have been faithful all the years of my relationship w/ my soon to be bride, and I don’t intend on cheating on my bachelor party or ever. This is an anonymous forum, so please no jokes, no vague answers, be honest. And one more thing please elaborate on how far women go w/ other men at bachelorette parties, and if so what percentage of women do these things? Again this is a serious question, I don’t want to marry a selfish cheater, please give me an honest answer.

I have a few questions about my bridal business. Please help be a part of my success by giving your opinion!?

Hello All!
I am a few months away from opening my own bridal store. I’m currently a full time college student with a full time job. I’m about to be certified in bridal consulting. I’m so excited about this opportunity I was blessed with. My dream is to give every couple a wedding they deserve for an affordable price. Not only will it be a bridal consultant business but it will be a wedding retail business as well. I plan to have a variety of merchandise from couple’s counseling books to wedding dresses, table linens, wedding decorations, engagement/wedding rings, his and her household goods, honeymoon lingerie, wedding journals, etc. I know not every bride can afford a wedding planner to help her. So my goal is for the modern bride to be able to walk into my store and plan most of her wedding herself for less then 500 dollars. And if my bridal consultant help is needed charge a small fee. I have other income like my job and my husband’s job, so money isn’t really the object here. We found a nice building in a very busy intersection by a mall. HERE’S MY QUESTIONS: There are some items very expensive I will like to sell like chocolate fountains for a reception. The vendors price are too expensive but I found a few on eBay that’s really affordable. (with a sellers permit isn’t this legal and legit to buy off the internet and resale at a affordable price at my store?) LAST QUESTIONS: BRIDES TO BE OR FORMER BRIDE AND GROOMS. What kind of things would you like to walk into a store like this and purchase? What kind of things did you spend a fortune on and wish it the cost was more affordable price? At my grand opening i plan to give a way tons of free prizes for customers. Good idea?

how much money have you spent as a bridesmaid?

this includes gifts, throwing the parties, dress (alterications), shoes and just anything else..like hotel or something

this is sooo expensive:

dress–185
aletrications–50
shoes–20
engagement gift–50
wedding gift–150
bridal shower–40 to throw it and 100 for a gift
bachelerotte party–130 (includes enteriament, hotel, decorations, and dinner)

total of 725! this is sick! i will NEVER do this again. way too much money.

how much did it cost you?
brides: it’s YOUR wedding and what YOU want, so what does that have to w/ the bridesmaid. so now we have to pay for YOUR wedding?
wow mis nik..VEGAS! that must’ve been a lot of money.
i can always tell who the bride is! lord. no need to cap lock honor. i still think it’s crazy and i think it’s bridezillaish to ask a bridesmaid to pay for all of that. and i will def. not do this again, no matter how close i am w/ the person. it’s too much money and i can afford it. never again.
i had NO idea it would cost this much. none at all.
ashley: 450 for a dress! that’s crazy! i never heard of that. you must really love that bride.
sandy sandals: that’s pretty much how i feel and i’m not even the MOH. i’m glad i did it for her, but i will not accept this honor again. it’s just too much money. it’s been an experience working w/ all the bridesmaids! lol
i havent told my friend about all of this nor will it. but i had unplanned pregnancy and had my son 6 months ago. i did try to decline but she made me feel guilty, even after i told her i barely had money for my son, and i’m weak and caved in. i wish she would’ve accepted my answer. but no, i havent said anything to her.
J: oh so defensive. umm..sounds like something’s going on. getting complaints from the bridesmaids???

Would you hire a wedding planner new to the industry?

Im a new planner and want some insight directly from brides. I will soon be certified by the Association of Bridal Consultants and plan to intern to gain expertise. Would you hire a planner knowing she was new, less than 5 weddings? If not, why? If so, Why?
My prices would be reasonable and I would only take on weddings I can handle. Its just not in my personality to do anything half way.

wedding speech help? ?

the brides parents are supposed to pay for most of the wedding, and mine Suck!
how do i thank my parents in my wedding speech, they didn’t pay for anything and didn’t help with anything,
i dont wanna make myself look bad, but then again i dont wanna say anything that i dont mean
its not necessarily the monetary value, which sucks, they didnt participate didnt offer to help and with anything.. and they were shitty parents growing up too… UGH!!! my wedding is in 9 days and this is the last thing that should be stressing me out

Would You Hire A Wedding Planner With Visible Tattoos and/or Piercings?

I was thinking about getting a tattoo and possibly getting my eyebrow pierced but I also would like to be a wedding planner. Brides-to-be, former brides, and almost brides, could you please give me your opinion? Also..would you hire a bridal consultant for your wedding?

what is a guest book platter?

a silver or pewter platter that guests sign with a diamond scribe instead of a tradtional paper guest book. This is a growing trend in the wedding industry as brides look for unique guest book alternatives. Find out more at http:www.signaturekeepsakes.com or http://www.idoengravables.com.

My friend and I are starting a business doing hair and makeup for brides. What's a good name for our business?

We provide hair and makeup on location for brides and her bridal party.

Do you need two dresses for your wedding?

I know you need a white gown obviously for the actual wedding but do some brides wear another dress to the reception?

Bridal Party hair/makeup?

Can anyone help me find a good hair/makeup artist for my bridesmaids in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area? I have five bridesmaids, and I am looking for hair & makeup for them all. I was looking to spend about 500 for all of them..
How can I go about finding a good hair/makeup artist that would be in my price range? I have looked on theknot.com, and brides.com but with so many bridesmaids I haven’t been able to find one that fits in my budget.

Bridal Jewelry help!?

ok i am thinking about necklaces. but is it usually the brides necklace being the exact same as the the brides. I am so lost in what to get or anything. I am on a budget but I want this too look nice as well and be something she will love.
would it be wrong if the bride wears a necklace and the bridesmaids and maid of honor does not wear necklaces

Calling All Brides (: (looking for ideas)?

i was just wondering if you can answer some of my questions.

1) what was your bridal hairstyle?

2) what style wedding dress did you pick out?

3) what season/color(s) will your wedding be?

4) how many people are attending, & what was your cost or budget?

5) where did you choose for your honeymoon?

thanks for answering, i’m just looking for some ideas
& congrats on all brides! (:
i’ve notice that many of you are having like 150+ guests but only spending 5,000-6,000..
how do you guys do it?

one more question (: if its okay

6) any money saving tips?

My mother is getting remarried, my sister and I are to be bridesmaids?

My mother is 44 and is getting remarried this summer. She wants me and my sister to be her only bridesmaids (I will be 20, my sister 18, at the time of the wedding).

But what I was wondering, should we organize some sort of party for her before the wedding? I don’t think a "bridal shower" is really appropriate, since she won’t need any of the traditional gifts people give to brides. If we aren’t having a bridal shower, should we just do something small and fun? Or nothing at all?

Some ideas would be appreciated! Thanks!

Would you rather be a wedding guest or have tasks assigned to you as an "honor"?

This is a question for gals who weren’t tight enough with the bride to make the cut as a bridesmaid.

Is it enough of an honor to be "just" a guest?

Or do you feel more honored to be given a corsage and a job like "guest book attendant" or "birdseed hander outer" or "program distributor"?

If you are given one of the jobs, how do you feel if the couple doesn’t include you in their formal pictures?
I’m with you all. I just don’t understand the multitude of brides on YA who feel compelled to create a position for the left-out gal. The suggestion "include her by making her a guest book attendant" is really common … yet I don’t know anyone who actually prefers that booby prize job to simply being a guest and enjoying the festivities.

I'm a Daddy! X'D Am I supposed to pay for her wedding?

I just found out I’m a dad!!! :’D I have the smartest little princess in the WORLD, and I just met her this afternoon, and when I came out of my shock, I realized I was suddenly elbow deep in frilly new dresses, and pink stuffed animals, and fake jewelry. My permanent GF is P*ss*d, but coping, and as soon as the kiddo’s mom wakes up, I’m eager to get us all situated into some sort of baby raising scheme that will result in our child’s winning of the nobel peace prize, (for inventing the anti-bomb), and becoming supreme overlord of the universe…Problem is I have no idea what the f*ck I’m doing. (Advice for raising the future overlord of the universe please?)

I’d like to get started by opening an account for her, but I’m still not 100% sure what she is going to need. Is it still up to the brides family to pay for weddings? About how much extra money does a girl need for feminine products and underclothes? How much should I put in for 16th and 18th birthdays? How about bridal gifts and baby showers? Graduation gifts and parties? Her first car? Her first date? I wasn’t supposed to have any kids till 2014, and I haven’t finished crunching the numbers yet, because I was only going to have two, but now were going to wind up with three! What…

How much per year, should I expect to spend on her? I need to have at least 50% in a bank account, and a separate portfolio for the major event funding mentioned above.

Also, what if the women decide to kill me for not knowing I had a friken kid? I swear, I usually check back with women after sex, but that time I couldn’t because she took off early without any warning, and I haven’t seen her since…Until today. I’m sure my GF is going to be okay with this, because we’ve discussed the possibility that we might wind up with an unplanned kid with someone else already (we swing) but until then, how can I set both women at ease?
My kiddo is 3 years old!!! How many gifts can I buy her before she is spoiled absolutely rotten? What did I miss? What did she miss? How do I make up for lost time?
Neon: Her mother left the country, and me, without telling me she was leaving. I was the one disposed of. And how did I treat anyone like a doormat?

wedding photographer?

Hi,

I’m usually not negative or complaining but this should not go unnoticed for any future brides. I would like to share my true story so other brides didn’t get themselves into the same situation. Sorry for my long story.

We had our wedding reception in 2008 and hired “The Pros” (www.thepros.com) as our wedding photography company. I picked a very experienced photographer and everything went well. But then 3 weeks before my wedding, The Pros said my photographer get busy on my day and they’ll send another photographer to me. I have no choice and I did not have much time to search again, so I accepted their offer. I can’t believe it was our nightmare to start! My photographer was horrible and very unprofessional. He lost our photos. When we received our wedding photos a month after our wedding from The Pros, we found that a good portion of our photos was missing and the little that they had given us was amateurish and horrific. This made us very upset. We contacted the company on numerous occasions and they refuse to assist us or take any responsible actions. We have yet to receive any of the photos back, an apology, compensation or any type of assistance. They were very rude and lack true meaning of being in the service industry, especially in dealing with weddings. It has been such a true nightmare for us. Nothing can replace memories of our wedding day and The Pros have definitely robbed us of that. We already filed our complaint with Division of Consumer Affair and Better Business Bureau. This horrible experience has caused much unnecessary stress, pain and sorrow as a newlywed couple. Please don’t trust anyone affiliated with The Pros.

Recently, I met a friend from Bride.com and thank you so much for her support to me. She said she ALMOST picked The Pros on her wedding. However, her vendors told her the horror stories about The Pros. One of them is that they lost pictures. She said, The Pros offer their service all over the country and make their name “popular”. They do poor work and unprofessional because they hire a bunch of people and don’t bother to really check who these people are. So, they always use excuses to change your original photographer to someone who don’t know anything about pictures.. They ruined your wedding. I am definitely one of the victims.

That is my true story. The only reason I’m being honest is so another innocent bride does not have to experience this way I did. Please spread the word to any brides-to-be you know. Hope this helps and thank you so much for your time to read my real story!

Do you have any the same experiences as me? Please share. :)

What to wear to wedding & baby shower?

I’ve got one wedding shower and two baby showers to attend in the next few weeks, and I’m not sure how to dress for the occasion. All three will be held in homes of people I do not know, and are related to the brides/new mom. Are dark-washed jeans with heels and a nice top acceptable, or too casual? If it helps, I’m located in Pennsylvania…

How many showers is too many?

I am getting married this fall. We had an engagement party shortly after the engagement this past spring. A friend of the brides family is throwing us a shower in a couple of weeks. I found out tonight my Aunt is throwing us another shower later this fall. Another friend of the bridal party is throwing a bridal shower (for girls only). Then the brides aunts are getting together to throw a bridal luncheon (all girls again) a week before the wedding, which people bring gifts too as well. One of my friends from high school is throwing us a stock the bar party which will be very low key where people bring alcohol of some sort or bar ware. So in case you lost count, thats one engagement party, two couples showers, one bridal shower, a bridal luncheon, and a stock the bar party, not to mention the bachelor and bachelorette parties. Is this too much. I feel like it is considering we are inviting the same people over & over. My mom and fiancee keep telling me that it’s not a big deal.

How much should I money provide for my bridesmaids dresses?

I’m thinking around 0 each, but I have 4 of them, and I honestly just want them to wear slacks and a nice shirt that is blue. Then they’ll buy their own outfits. I’m trying to save money and I never cared to have everyone match perfectly. So anyway, does 0 seem stingy? My parents got my dress (the brides dress) for like 0, just to put things into perspective. I don’t plan to do catering, I plan to have a pot-luck.
