When should I start planning my wedding?

Ok, so I’m planning to have my wedding June of 2014. I know that I have a lot of time in between now and then, but it gives me some time to relax until I have to start planning. My question is, when should I start planning? How do I start and what should I start with? I need help from some experienced brides please.

It’s about 9 months til my wedding and I haven’t done much actually confirming and planning besides reserving a ceremony site and getting all of my ideas together for who and where I want things from.

I wanna know how other brides are doing: How many months til your wedding and what major things do you still need to take care of?

wedding shabka jewelry for bride?

i just have a question about the brides Shabka.
well a couple actually…

1.) does the groom give the bride her shabka jewelry when he asks for her hand, at the engagment party, or at the actual wedding?
2.) if it is at the actual wedding, should the bride walk in with her dress & all, but with no jewelry on, so she could wear the shabka?
3.) what is consisted in the shabka set usually? does it include the wedding ring, or is that separate?
4.) whats an average price for shabka sets?
5.) do you have any websites that sell them or at least just show examples & pictures?
6.) Married Muslims: Grooms: did you buy shabka for your bride & Brides: did you recieve one from you groom?

If the father of the bride is dead, who should give the "father of the bride toast"? The grooms dad, or the brides mom?
