Question #1: My cousin recently got engaged. I’m helping her plan her wedding and she asked me what I thought would be some really cool/useful gifts for her bridesmaids. Unfortunately, I have no idea. Any ideas?

Question #2: Her parents are divorced and don’t get along at all. My cousin’s dad is remarried with two children and she’s had a rough past with her stepmom. They used to fight a lot and they’ve only recently started to be polite/nice to each other. My cousin’s mom has a hard time being polite when she’s speaking to the dad and isn’t shy about speaking her mind about what she thinks of some of his decisions. Her mom and stepmom do not like each other even a little bit so we’re having trouble coming up with ideas on how to handle this situation. Lizzi (my cousin) doesn’t want to offend her dad and stepmom by not including them in the wedding planning but also doesn’t want to make her mom mad by having all of them at the same ‘events’ (i.e., dress shopping and fittings, the bridal shower, the favor-making parties, the shopping for other various things).

Any advice on anything she could do to keep the peace would be much appreciated.

Is it normal people in bridal shower not invited to wedding?

My friend invited me to her bridal shower but not to her wedding. I am just wondering if this is normal. Cause i thought people in the bridal shower would also be invited to the wedding. We have been friends for over ten years but we haven’t been keeping touch that often. She doesn’t ask me to hang out and last time i saw her was at her bday party and she even tried to hook me up with her friend when we didn’t talk for a year. This question is more of are we consider even friends? I feel the bridal shower is for her to get wedding gifts than a celebration cause my mom told me bridal showers are ways to get more cash for the wedding.

I’m the matron of honor. I have OCD and anxiety so I know my face will get extremely hot and other stuff. I am not good with speaking in front of people! Of course I will do that for her on her big day I am just asking for some tips. I’m a little overweight and our dresses show a lot of skin and the dress makes me look pregnant and it looks like something from the 80s so I will already be subconcious, Also, I had to leave my 6 month old back home with my mom for this wedding because both me and my husband are in this wedding which is out of town and I feel like a wreck about that too and I DON"T KNOW WHAT TO SAY!!! Also, for some reason I get extremely uncomfortable in emotional situations and I come off as cold. I don’t want that to happen either.
