I am my soon-to-be SIL’s MOH and I am in the beginning stages of planning her bridal shower. Their wedding is in early May and I am planning on having the shower in mid-March when I am on my spring break from school. (It is the only time I will be home until the wedding in May.) It is going to be a co-ed shower and fairly non-traditional. I am thinking it will also be a surprise shower. Here are the three themes I saw that I liked:

A) Room of the House (where guests are assigned an area of the house and bring a gift according to their room.)

B) Stock the Bar (Guests can bring their favorite alcohol, bar accessories, etc. My brother and FSIL are in their mid-twenties, no kids, so this theme could be very fun. Both the bride and groom’s sides of the family are very laid-back, so no older relatives who would be offended by this.)

C) Honeymoon (They are going down to Florida(from New Hampshire) for a while. Although their honeymoon is not set in stone, so this could be problematic.)

As a guest and as a bride, which of these would be the best? I also worry that by having a theme, it seems like I am trying to dictate the guests’ gifts, which is not the case–the theme is more of a guideline to help in keeping the party fun and so guests can have a starting point on what to bring for a gift. So, thoughts?

I live in New Hampshire and recently got a brand new gown April 18 2009. I have it on Craigs List, Bravo Bride and on ebay. I’m asking 0 for it but I have no one interested and I need the money to put towards the rest of my wedding. It’s a gorgeous dress but the color I was sent was the wrong one and I received a new gown in its place. Where can I sell it?

I’m planning an overnight in New Hampshire for a Bachelor party in late june. The plan is to go up on a Saturday, camp overnight, pack in the morning and go golfing. What’s a good campsite in southern New Hampshire?

I live in New Hampshire and I’m planning a honeymoon trip for this October. I know it’s hurricane season in the carribean, so I’m looking for ideas on where to go? I’m trying to stay away from anywhere in the pacific since it would be SUCH a long flight for me. Any ideas?
