One of the Bridal party girls suggested the theme for the Bachelorette Party be ‘Underwear’ and suggested that the guests bring a gag gift of underwear, but I have never been to party/social event where you tell the guests on the invitation to bring a specific gift, or even a gift (I call that poor etiquette).
Though, on the other hand, I have not been to very many Bachelorette Parties, so is it common to ask people to bring a specific gift to a Bachelorette Party? If so, how do you word that on the invitation without sounding tacky?

(My thoughts are…weddings are expensive; guests should be able to decide if they want to bring their own gift or not, plus what if the person wanted to bring the bride something else.)

Bachelorette Party Style: Later on in the night the girls will be going out to the bar after dinner & games at a house of one of the bridal party.
