How many wedding programs should I print for 100 people?

Asked by: admin Wedding Programs

I am about to print my wedding programs, but I’m not sure how many I should print. There will be about 100 guests. Not all will take a program, and some will just take 1 per couple. So how many should I make?
They will be in a basket by the area where they enter to take their seats before the ceremony. So I know I won’t need 100.
And they are half sheets of paper rolled up and tied with a ribbon like a scroll, although I don’t know why that matters ;)

I would print 100 because even though not everyone will take one, some will take 2 by accident… or have a kid that takes 3 just because. Also, your close family may want to take 2– one to frame, one to scrapbook, etc. You also want a few extras for keepsakes.

Make 100. They should be on regular paper folded in half, so they aren’t going to cost but about a dime apiece. You’ll want some extras for keepsakes and to send to grannies and relatives who couldnt get to the service.

I think you should print about 80 to 100 programs. Are the guest just going to see the programs in their seats or they are going to be passed out by the hostess?

Print 100 to be on the safe side and then put the leftovers in the recycle bin. You may want to save a couple for yourself as mementos.

Edit: If you have them in a basket to the side, no one will see them, thus you end up wasting time and money putting them together. If you want your guests to grab one, then have your ushers hand them out when they seat guests as they arrive.

105 couple to send to people who didn’t make the wedding and sometimes kids like to take a couple.

I think it depends on how they are being distributed. If someone is handing them out then make a 100 or more because that person will hand one to everyone.

If you are just going to have them sitting in a basket then about 70 because not everyone will pick up one.

Another option is if you have someone passing them out to tell them to only hand one per couple. To be honest my husband always hands me his program as soon as it is given to him and I end up with 2.

50-75 would be good… they normally say 1 per couple/invited guest. So if you have 65 RSVPs (actual cards, not #s) of "yes" that would be a good number to go by.

i say 100 just so you have exactly enough, there will be people that don’t take some, but some people that can’t come that will still want one, good luck
