What are good Bridal Shower games and activities for a mixed age group?

I am planning a bridal shower for my best friend. The theme of the shower is kitchen and cooking. The ages of the guests range from 21-50 so I want something that will keep everyone entertained. Any ideas and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Balloon Popper Game – Before the shower, blow up enough balloons to ensure each guest can play if she chooses, making certain to insert a number in several of them but leaving most empty. Arrange the balloons in a mixed group. Give each person a number and a balloon. The bride to be sits on each balloon, one at a time, until it pops. If the bride pops a balloon with a number being held by one of the guests, that person wins a prize.
The Candy Game – Each person is given 10 pieces of candy. Going around the room, the first person makes a statement about themselves starting with the phrase, “I never…” For example, “I never eat red meat” or “I have never gone scuba diving.” If any other guest agrees the statement is true about them as well (for example, they do not eat red meat or are not a scuba diver), they must eat a piece of candy or put it back in the candy dish. Everyone takes a turn making a statement while the others monitor for truthfulness. Whoever has the most pieces of candy left at the end of the game, wins.

*For my sister’s shower we had everyone bring a recipe from their own kitchen to share with the bride. Each guest placed their recipe in a recipe box for the bride upon arrival.

Tip: We sent a blank recipe card along with the invitation so that they would all match in the bride’s recipe box.

*Take 6 empty clear cups and place a spice in each cup. Put numbers on each cup and have guests pass the cups around. By smelling/looking at the spice, they’ll need to guess which one is in the cup. For example, #1 is cinnamon, #2 is basil leaves, etc.

Tip: Make one a trick… we used fish food!

*Make a list of about 20 or so food phrases. Keep one part of the phrase blank. Give guests 2 minutes to try and complete their list (or, just give a prize to whoever completes their entire list correctly first). For example, #1 could say "Salt & ______." #2 could say "Don’t Cry ____ ____ ____." Make them all related to cooking.

*Put an apron on the bride. Have about 10 kitchen items that guests can decide where each one should be put on the bride’s outfit. For example, put an oven mitt on one hand. Put a rolling pin in her pocket, etc. After all the items are on the bride, have her walk around the room and tell guests to try and memorize her outfit. Have the bride leave the room and have guests list what was on her outfit. Most matches wins. The bride gets to keep all the items, if you wish, after the game.

*This is a great game to keep guests interested as the bride opens gifts: give them each a blank bingo card. Have guests fill out their bingo cards with gifts they think the bride will get. As guests fill out their cards based on what the bride opens, give away prizes for each bingo until all present are opened.

    Have fun!
