What kind of wedding band engravement should I put on my husbands ring?

I am planning to get married this July, and I would like to engrave something special on my fiancee’s ring, I want something sweet but with a lot of meaning?

A lot of what you can fit depends on the size and metal of the ring–so check with your jeweler…we couldnt’ have ours engraved b/c they were platinum.

If you want something sentimental, look to old time "posey" rings–they were used as promise rings and had lines of poetry on them….such as:

My beloved is mine and I am hers

With this ring, I thee wed

I love none but you alone

Live to Love, Love to Live

Love me and Leave me not

    Two hearts content

    Encircled with Love

All I refuse, Thee I choose

    For All Days…..

    Love Conquers all

….or you could consider some funny line or inside joke that only the two of you would understand. Had we been able to engrave ours, that is what I would have done…

How about "You are mine forever"
    or "Love you for eternity"

    OOH GET A LIFE PADDY!

Well, traditional is to go with something like "Forever" or "Always" with the date.

You could go with something really special to you though, like if you have a song title or line from a song that is "your song" and appropriate, or a quote from a movie you both love or something. It’s going to need to be really short though, like "Truly, Madly, Deeply".

Or a line from a poem, if you’re poetry type people. I love "i carry your heart with me" by e e cummings (http://www.poemhunter.com/p/m/poem.asp?poet=6588&poem=30523) but really, only go with stuff like that if it’s relevant to you. It should be personal.

    And congratulations and good luck!

maybe somthing like "From here to eternity" followed by the wedding date. you know how guys can forget important dates like that.

you should put something that means something special to you and he. Something only you know the meaning of . one word to describe a special place or pet name you call each other.

  • Rachel P:

I think the classic works nicely. Just put [your initials] to [his initials] and the wedding date (including year).
