As much as you might love to visit, do NOT go anywhere tropical such as Bahamas, Fiji, or the like. It is sooo easy to be bitten by bugs, animals, insects, etc. If you really want to though, go on a cruise. I suggest places like Catalina Island.
Somewhere nice but not crowded. Try to think more about somewhere with nice scenery, but it doesnt have to be tropical. Stay at a lodge in the mountains somewhere, it would be much more romantic that say Hawaii which is touristville.
We just went to an amusement park and hoarded ourselves up in our hotel for 4 days and relaxed with some drinks. Had a Jacuzzi tub, and found out what happens when you put a little too much bubble solution in it(You look like the michelin man lol). My husband travels a lot with his job, and I’d go with him a lot, we didn’t want anything we’d have to travel with too much, so we wanted something fun where we could kick back and enjoy ourselves.
someplace secluded ,other people can be such a buzz kill ,rent a cabin in the woods where you two can be alone with no distractions and no interruptions just the two of you.
we went to lovers key resort in florida. we loved it there !! we watched the dolphins swim by at their restaurant ( Flippers on the Bay) while we were having dinner. best steak dinner you will ever have. we even rented a boat and the dolphins were following us. we would go back in a heart beat!!! we even drop down to the everglades and saw some alligators on one of the side roads laying in a puddle of water in the road.
Every couple is different. Some people like beaches and heat; some people enjoy hiking and nature; some people enjoy skiing and cold weather. It also depends on how much money you want to spend. I don’t care what anyone says, all inclusive cruises are absolutely THE cheapest route to go. Think about what time of year you’re getting married, and go from there.
And everyone’s taste is different…. My husband and I went to Hawaii (Oahu). It was sooooo over-romanticized. We got there and actually thought it was kind of dirty… apart from the resort. We stayed at Marriott’s Ko Olina Beach Club (which was AMAZING). However, one day we were driving on a highway around the island and ended up in a GHETTO part of the island called Waianae and there were homeless people living in tents everywhere. And Waikiki beach wasn’t as romantic & clean as it was cracked up to be. My point in all that is… what’s nice to one person may not be nice to another. Check references, books, discussion boards, travel agencies, etc.
I think anywhere that’s tropical

Given your location and budget I’d say… North Stradbroke Island, Qld, Australia!
Although I’m guessing you’re American as they’re the only ones who assume that everyone else is from there.
